She has perfected the art of painting animals. The leopard is possibly her favourite subject, because of its rarity and beauty. Enjoying painting zebras and other animals too, her style has remained clean and uncluttered.

Her experience has taught her that “what you leave out is just as important as what you put in”. As a result, her stark, clean images concentrate exclusively on the animal as well as conveying the wide-open spaces of Africa.

Elephants are highly social animals. Drinking together, this herd enjoys social activity as well as the quenching of their thirst. Here, the herd comprises all ages of elephants. The soft light of dawn casts multi-coloured reflections in the water, but their bulk is still shown.

Man is the only threat to elephants. Sometimes lions will kill very young elephants, but this is unusual.
