Hanging out in a tree, “Kiaat Leopard” isn’t actually lying in a tree. Rather, she’s called Kiaat because of the name of the complex where I live in Nelspruit. She’s a real beauty. Having the ability to seemingly vanish against the background due to their perfect camouflage, I prefer to paint leopards without any background at all. In this case, prints of leopards aren’t their spoor, but the prints that I make from my original paintings.
