However, when very large prey is hunted, such as giraffe and buffalo, the pride relies on the superior strength of the male lions. Like other cats, the cubs play-fight and tag one another at an early age, honing their skills for when they are old enough to participate in hunting for prey. These two lion cubs are clambering all over their mother.
