The African buffalo is part of the Big 5 because of their size, aggressive behaviour and their habit to charge with no warning. The African buffalo has been said to be one of the most dangerous animals to hunt on foot.

Sue studied B.A. (Fine Arts) at the University of the Witwatersrand and at the University of South Africa in the early 1980s. After that, she studied Graphic Design at Johannesburg Technikon. She pursued a career in design and advertising, running her own graphic design studio, called Fusion Graphics, for several years. She began painting on a full-time basis in 1993 and concentrated on Wildlife Art in 2000.

Although Sue Dickinson has gained her reputation as one of South Africa’s most respected artists, she worked very hard.
